Counting days until Christmas

It is the 1st of December and, to be precise, there are only 23 days 6 hours 1 minute and 59 seconds until Christmas (yaaaay). I'm counting down the days by turning the cubes that I made two years ago. I found this idea on YouTube. The cubes and the cuboid are wooden, I painted them in white with tempera. Then, I found different Christmas patterned papers on the Internet and wrote the numbers on them  in Paint. The next step was to print and glue everything. Numbers 2, 7, 1, 0, 8, 6 (serves as 9 as well) are on one cube and numbers 4, 0, 1, 2, 3 and 5 are on the other one.

1.12. je i ako ćemo biti precizni do Božića je još 23 dana 6 sati 1 minuta i 59 sekundi (jeeeej). Dane odbrojavam okrećući kocke koje sam napravila prije dvije godine. Ideju sam našla na YouTubeu. Kocke i podloga su od drveta, obojala sam ih s bijelom temperom i onda na Internetu našla razne božićne papire i na njih u Paintu napisala brojeve, isprintala ih te sve lijepo zalijepila. Na jednoj kocki su brojevi 2, 6 (služi i kao 9), 7, 1, 0, 8, a na drugoj 4, 0, 1, 2, 3, 5.

For this small project, you don't need to use wooden cubes, you can make it out of paper. On the photos above you can see what I'm talking about. There's a draft of the cuboid on the first photo and a draft of the cube on the other one. Just type paper cube or cuboid in Google and you'll find the drafts there. You don't need to print the drafts, you can choose your dimensions, draw it, cut it and then glue it. If you're a bit more creative you can make your own Christmas patterns, you don't need to print them out as I did. It's up to you to decide how creative you want to be. If you decide to make the paper version, I recommend you glue or draw the Christmas patterns and write the numbers before connecting the faces of the cube and cuboid because it will be easier.

Za ovaj mali projekt čak vam nisu potrebne drvene kocke, sve to možete napraviti i od papira. Na gornjim slikama možete vidjeti na što mislim. Na prvoj fotografiji nacrt je kvadra, a na drugoj je kocka. U Google samo upišite kocka ili kvadar od papira i izbacit će vam nacrte. Nacrte ne morate čak ni printati, sami odredite dimenzije, nacrtajte, izrežite i zalijepite. Ako ste malo više kreativni možete sami napraviti neke božićne uzorke, ne morate ih kao ja printati, sve ovisi o tome koliko kreativni želite biti. Ako se odlučite za ovu papirnatu verziju odbrojavanja dana do Božića, onda prije nego što spojite stranice kocke i kvadra nalijepite ili nacrtajte božićne uzorke i napišite brojeve jer će vam biti lakše dok vaše kocke i kvadar nisu spojeni.
